Recently applied updates (up to 16th May 2016) on our WSUS Server; then noticed event log containing various 507, 7032, 7053 errors. After checking that the 'required' WSUS services were running etc; I was going to restore/revert back to version prior to updates but, for now, decided to uninstall all updates applied on that day.

WSUS now working; although unfortunately I didn't have the time, to systematically remove each update, one by one, to see which one(s) were causing the issue.
