Apart from that, I believe that someone will make a portable version of it. The sooner the better. For portability, you can (barely) get away with an application storing registry entries in HKLM and HKCR (which is actually just an alias for a subkey of HKLM and stores both file associations and COM classes) if you have a 'registry emulator' like the one Steve Lamerton is working on. But if a program stores files in%APPDATA% as part of its normal operation, you're up the creek.
